Living With a Proper Perspective

Date: Wednesday, September 8

Location: Maryville University--Huttig Chapel

Hey everyone!!! I hope you are enjoying your extended weekend! We're off to a great start this year: the BBQ two weeks ago was a huge success as anyone who attended can testify; and the social last week also was well attended, complemented with Jess's amazing homemade cookies, and Daniela's delicious, authentic Mexican salsa!

This week Father Tim Noelker is coming to give us a talk on "Living With a Proper Perspective; Living With Heaven in Mind," followed by adoration and benediction. We will conclude the evening with some snacks and social time as usual.

If you can make it--great! Look forward to another great evening.

Corpus Christi Procession through Central West End

Date:
June 5, 2010 - 5:00pm - 7:00pm

On Saturday, June 5, 2010, we observe the solemn feast of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, or Corpus Christi. At the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday evening, the traditional procession with the Blessed Sacrament will be observed. The procession will travel through the neighborhood surrounding the Cathedral Basilica, and will include Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at three stational altars along the route, as well as the Cathedral at the end of the procession. We invite everyone to this beautiful celebration, which serves as both a wonderful opportunity and a significant way for the Church in Saint Louis to show our friends and neighbors how important the Eucharist is to our faith.

Homily from Fr. Kevin Schroeder "The genocide of abortion"

In the year of the priest, Fr. Kevin Schroeder represents the vocation well, with faith and conviction to share the truth even when it is difficult to do so.  Please support our priests with your prayers and as verbal encouragement.  For  every positive statement they get regarding a homily like this, they are sure to receive several angry phone calls.  Our priests need to know that there are people in the pews that are praying for them and are in support of sharing this difficult message.

S&T St. Louis highlighted in Young Adult Podcast

So I am posting this, not because I like to hear the sound of my own voice (that is certainly NOT the case), but in thanksgiving for how the Holy Spirit is working in Spirit & Truth and among young adults in St. Louis.

I was interviewed by Nick Padley of In Between Sundays on the wonderful program that is Spirit and Truth and what cool things are happening in St. Louis.
